V2P: And, what about the basic facilities like roads, parking, electricity etc?

Nothing is perfect in this world. Regarding facilities referred by you, expert groups like Tatas are making an analysis. They will make a detailed node-wise and sector-wise analysis on various fronts like education, roads, health and water supply and submit a report to Guardian Minister Shri Ganesh Naik, in consultation with CIDCO, NMMC, and MIDC. I am sure solutions are available to every problem, if our intentions are good.

V2P: What are Sanjeev Naik views for putting Navi Mumbai on the tourist Map of the country?

A lot have been thought in this direction. Amongst various parks and gardens, a plan for setting up an amusement park has been made in association with Reliance group, where an international level tower like Eiffel Tower will be built up on 350 acres land near Mhape. This was the dream of Dhirubhai Ambani. Now can you think why Thane is not developing as fast Navi Mumbai? Navi Mumbai has its own dam. Here due to low and stable property tax, low water cost and introduction of cess in place of octroi, people have started understanding that this is the right place to live peacefully and most economically. From next year sky bus service will start which is a novel idea by our planners.

Storm water drains in various nodes of Vashi and Koperkhairane were cleaned by the civic body. Raising concerns over the problem of water logging during monsoons, the drains were cleaned by the civic body. It may be recalled that in the Standing Committee meeting of month of January 2009, Chairman Sandeep Naik too had appealed to the administration to take care of the road work to ensure that residents are not inconvenienced during monsoon.
Looks like with the commencement of the pre-monsoon work, the administration has taken the appeal of the Chairman Sandeep Naik seriously.
